Our Culture and Worship

Our community of faith is a loving, purpose driven, innovative, biblically based, Spirit-filled congregation.  We accomplish this through a Spirit-led corporate worship, Christian education, service through the development of ministries and member involvement, powerful youth and children’s ministry, intercessory prayer, ministry through fine arts and other events to further our vision.

Our worship is designed for attendees to be in the presence of God and freely express their love and adoration to the Heavenly Father.  We encourage praise and worshipping through the lifting of hands, clapping, dancing, signing, shouting, and praying.  We believe in the guidance of the Holy Spirit and order.

Why we clap our hands:

  • Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. (Psalm 47:1)

Why we raise our hands:

  • Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD. (Psalm 134:2)
  • May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. (Psalm 141:2)
  • I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah (Psalm 143:6)

Why we praise the Lord with a holy dance:

  • Praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, (Psalm 150:4)

Why we have drums, guitars and other musical instruments in worship:

  • 1 Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.  3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute,  5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.  6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. (Psalm 150)

Why we praise the Lord with a shout:

  • Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. (Psalm 47:1)
